Spring Chicken Affair A Success

West Windy, rainy, cold weather didn’t deter the hundreds of volunteers, vendors and sponsors of the 26th Spring Chicken Affair who in spite of adverse conditions “warmly” served up approximately 3,500 plates of fried chicken and all the trimmings to several thousand West Texas Rehab Center supporters. Thanks to donated food products, equipment, manpower and financial support by San Angelo National Bank, H-E-B Food Store, Foster Communications, San Angelo Restaurant Association and Home Motors Towing Service … plus ticket buyers … more than $42,000 was generated at the much-anticipated event.
