"For 2-year-old spina bifida patient Hayley, the day she took her first steps on Rehab-made braces was a WOW Day because it meant she could begin raiding the refrigerator in the middle of the night, just like her big sister!"

WTRC Hoopsters "Bounce" Competition

Angelo State Physical Therapy students recently participated in an exhibition game on Feb. 8th against the Tumbleweeds, a WTRC wheelchair team from the San Angelo area. The game is part of the program where WTRC’s Home Medical Equipment team of Larry Evans, Jesse Jackson and Carla Vogt teach a class on wheelchairs including seating and documentation to the Physical Therapy students from Angelo State University. The last couple of years the students have made the challenged to the WTRC Tumbleweeds.

This year's game was extra special because for the first time the new junior players played for the tumbleweeds. These five new players were added this year. Their ages range from 6 to 16. The PT students put up a fight but couldn’t overcome the experience of the older Tumbleweeds.
