Concho Valley RSVP Receives $25,000 Grant

Concho Valley RSVP has been selected as one of 40 recipients of Renewing Our Communities Account (ROCA) nonprofit capacity building grants. They will receive up to $25,000 from this grant to build their capacity and strengthen their collaborative partnerships.

Through a competitive grant process, OneStar Foundation: Texas Center for Social Impact—in partnership with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC)—selected 40 small-and medium-sized faith-based and community organizations (FBCOs) for ROCA grants. Concho Valley RSVP will use their grant funds to focus on capacity-building activities that develop their organizational capacity, contributing to their long-term sustainability and ability to fulfill their mission.

Concho Valley RSVP will also use these funds to forge more effective collaborations with designated community partners, including Texas Hunger Initiative San Angelo, Adult Enrichment Center, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley, Concho Valley Rape Crisis Center, Inc., Rebuilding Together, Community CARES Coalition and others. The designated partners will work with Concho Valley RSVP to address gaps identified in their social service delivery systems and resources.
By building their capacity together, Concho Valley RSVP and its collaborators will have the opportunity to improve their partnerships and to better serve the citizens of Texas.

"The strength of the nonprofit sector in Texas is found at the local level where faith-based and community organizations work to help their neighbors," said Elizabeth M. Darling, President and CEO of OneStar Foundation. "The ROCA nonprofit capacity building grants will facilitate stronger partnerships between these groups and their collaborators. OneStar is proud to support Concho Valley RSVP as they achieve greater social impact."
