Silver Spur Ball
The recent boot scootin’ Silver Spur Ball attracted more than 550 attendees, raised a record $37,200 for West Texas Rehabilitation Center and pushed cumulative revenues from the event past the $438,000 mark.
Generous sponsors including West Central Wireless, Concho Valley Home Health, Superior Services, Scott & White Health Plan, Sam’s Club, Milford Engineering and Celebraciones Bellas made it possible for ticket sales and auction proceeds to go directly to Rehab for patient treatment operations.
More than 140 silent auction items were donated by area businesses and individuals. A hand-pieced quilt, made by Concho Valley quilters, was won by L.A. Jost of Garden City.
Organized 20 years ago, the Silver Spur event is hosted by twenty volunteers who assist WTRC’s donor relations’ staff by selling tickets, soliciting auction items and setting up for the evening’s activities.
