Spring Chicken Affair Update
West Texas Rehabilitation Center has a lot to crow about…the most successful Spring Chicken Affair to date!
Approximately 4,350 people were fed a delicious fried chicken dinner under “big top” tents at the 28th annual event April 25 in San Angelo.
With the help of sponsors First Financial Bank, H-E-B Food Store, Foster Communications, San Angelo Restaurant Association and Home Motors Towing Service plus a heaping portion of volunteers and vendors, the big day raised $51,240…and that’s not just chicken feed!
The success of Spring Chicken Affair helps WT Rehab Center maintain its 57-year tradition of making a difference in the lives of thousands of children and adults working to overcome the disabling effects of injuries and illnesses.
In 28 years, this popular event has raised $659,000 for the Center’s operations, thanks to generous underwriting, product donors and the thousands who attend each year.
