Stribling Art Extravaganza

One hundred twenty-one original art works by Concho Valley artists sold during the 11th annual Stribling Art Extravaganza this past weekend generating $55,000 for West Texas Rehabilitation Center and the participants – all of whom share in the proceeds.

Approximately 300 works ranging from oils, acrylics and watercolors to bronzes, ceramics and wood were displayed at historic Fort Concho.

“More dollars for outpatient rehab care were raised this year than ever before,” said WTRC President Woody Gilliland. “We’re so very appreciative for the support of this event and equally proud to provide a venue for the public to see the tremendous amount of artistic talent in San Angelo and the surrounding region.”

Major benefactors Beverly and Ben Stribling underwrite the event which showcases the talents of current and former residents of San Angelo and the Concho Valley. Additional funding also is provided by Travis and Kam Stribling as well as Jud Gray who sponsors the Young Artists’ Display of high school students’ works.

Through its facilities in San Angelo, Abilene and Ozona, West Texas Rehab Center provides outpatient rehabilitation care each year to more than 25,000 children and adults who have experienced disabling illnesses or injuries. Events such as the
Stribling Art Extravaganza make it possible for the Center to treat all who seek its services, regardless of their financial status.
