Occupational Therapy doesn't stop when you leave the treatment facility. For many kids, Occupational Therapy is a part of their development at school as well, and there are great opportunities for skill development at home also.
Whether they are videos showing how to do something such as tie a tie, parallel park a car, or cook a tasty meal demonstration videos have taken the internet by storm. This is an especially handy tool that can be used to help learn new skills. Occupational Therapists refer to this learning method as video modeling (VM). VM is essentially watching a desired behavior and then imitating that behavior.
